Tokopedia collaborated Bank Indonesia (BI) and the Financial Services Authority ( OJK ) to launch the Financial Literacy .
Tokopedia, BI, and OJK hope that the launch of the Financial Literacy Module can trigger a revival of the national economy.
The background for the launch of the Financial Literacy Module is based on the low level of financial literacy of the Indonesian people.
Data from OJK reveals that the level of public financial literacy is still at 38.03%.
This is inversely proportional to public financial inclusion which has reached 76.19%.
Then, Tokopedia wants to realize its commitment in conducting training for MSMEs to encourage the use of digital transactions.
Tokopedia co-founder Leontinus Alpha Edison revealed that Tokopedia has a vision that is in line with BI and OJK to push the financial literacy agenda for the development of MSMEs.
"This is what motivated Tokopedia to create a Financial Literacy Module, in line with the financial literacy agenda of BI and OJK to support the development of MSMEs and encourage digital transactions," said Vice Chairman and Co-founder of Tokopedia, Leontinus Alpha Edison.
module Financial Literacy consists of four major topics, namely:
- Financial planning and management
- How to obtain and manage business capital
- Methods and online transactions and how to report taxes
- safe and profitable investment.
Tokopedia , BI and OJK said that the Financial Literacy Module had been prepared in light and educational language.
So, this module can be learned easily by all MSME .
This module can be accessed for free by all MSMEs in Indonesia through the Tokopedia Seller Education Center starting May 23, 2022.
The launch of the Financial Literacy Module is also part of a series of events for Karya Kreatif Indonesia held by Bank Indonesia , as well as the Indonesian Presidency at the G20.
The collaboration between Tokopedia, OJK, and BI is expected to be able to contribute in restoring the national economy after the pandemic.
The revival of MSMEs has become the goal of Tokopedia and the Indonesian government, because the MSME sector supports more than 60% of Indonesia's GDP.
