Earlier this week, MediaTek officially announced 3 chipsets that will launch in mid-2022.
The 3 new chipsets are Dimensity 1050, Dimensity 930, and Helio G99 .
The Dimensity 1050 is designed as a flagship chipset, while the Dimensity 930 and Helio G99 are designed for mid-range .
Of the three chipsets, the Helio G99 is the chipset that is most highlighted by gamers.
The reason is, Helio G99 is the latest generation of the gaming chipset which is famous for its superior performance and affordable prices.

Helio G99 Specifications and Performance
MediaTek Helio G99 is designed as a gaming chipset for 4G phones.
MediaTek Helio G99 is manufactured with 6nm TSMC fabrication which makes this chipset have much better power efficiency than the Helio G96 series which uses 12nm fabrication.
MediaTek mentions that the Helio G99 has 30% better battery life for gaming than the Helio G96.

Helio G99 kini menjadi prosesor octa-core baru yang dilengkapi dengan 2x Cortex-A76 performance core yang memiliki clockspeed hingga 2.2GHz.
Then, MediaTek also embeds 6x ARM Cortex-A55 as an efficiency core that runs at a clockspeed of upto 2.0GHz.
This G99 chipset configuration is also found on the higher-status Dimensity 930.
The Helio G99 comes with an ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU with support for LPDDR4X memory and UFS 2.0 storage.
In terms of cellular connectivity, Helio G99 does not support 5G but supports dual 4G features.
This chipset is also equipped with WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, and support for 120Hz FHD+ display.
MediaTek says that the Helio G99 will start rolling out in the 3rd quarter of 2022 or around August - September 2022.
Unfortunately, there are still no leaks about which smartphones will be powered by the Helio G99.
