WIR Group is a technology-based company based on Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), yesterday (19/5) signed a memorandum of understanding with Cakap .
The reason WIR Group invites Cakap to jointly innovate is because there is live tutoring on the platform.
This memorandum of understanding is the starting point for collaboration for the development of a metaverse in the world of education.
This collaboration is also planned to be displayed at the 2022 World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.
For WIR Group, the opportunity to join the World Economic Forum is the third time.
Previously, WIR Group also participated in the annual forum at WEF 2019 and 2020.
On this occasion, WIR Group collaborated with the Ministry of Investment / Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM).

At the WEF 2022 event, WIR Group will show and demonstrate to the WEF delegates a prototype application of metaverse for the education sector.
Through a partnership with Cakap , WIR Group will show how interactive online learning systems will become increasingly interesting.
And provide new experiences by utilizing metaverse technology.
Yohan Limerta, CTO and Co-Founder of Cakap explained that the prototype that will be made by Cakap and WIR Group is a virtual classroom that can be found in the metaverse.
Students can set the place of tutor or teacher when explaining.
Metaverse is believed to be a trend and the answer to challenges in the digital era without boundaries.
The presence of the Indonesian education sector in the metaverse is expected to be able to show the world the progress of technological development, especially digital technology in Indonesia.
