"A joint team from the Central Java Police has arrested one of the shooters, the wife of a TNI member," said Semarang Police Chief Kombes Irwan Anwar in Semarang, as reported by Antara, Friday (22/7/2022).
In addition, officers secluded a firearm which was allegedly used to shoot the victim. However, Irwan has not explained the details of the identity of the perpetrators or the chronology of the arrests.
Previously, the police had already found two motorbikes used by the four perpetrators when they were in action.
The two motorcycles, each a Kawasaki Ninja, were secured in a house in Mijen, Semarang City, while the Honda Beat was secured from a house in Sayung, Demak Regency.
Previously, RW, the wife of a TNI member, was shot by an unknown person in front of her house, Jalan Cemara III, Banyumanik, Semarang City, Monday (18/7).
The Head of the Restabes, Kombes Irwan Anwar, said that the victim suffered a wound in the abdomen as a result of the gunshot.
"Two shots, one lodged in the victim's stomach," he said.
The police themselves have revealed the characteristics and roles of the four perpetrators of the shooting of the victims.
Irwan said the four perpetrators used two motorbikes, each a Kawasaki Ninja and a Honda Beat Street without a license plate.
The characteristics of the four perpetrators recorded on CCTV cameras around the scene are known to each of the perpetrators who acted as executor of the shooting using a helmet commonly used for motocross , wearing black and red citizen shoes, and using a firearm suspected of being a gun.
The two other perpetrators who rode the Honda Beat served as supervisors during the execution of the shooting.
"One of the perpetrators is known to have long hair," he said.
From CCTV footage, he said, the perpetrators, who are suspected to be civilians, always communicate with someone by telephone before taking action.
